Comments: Cottonwood tree sprayed with crude oil (from crushing [o??a] on April 1915. Photo taken April 27, 1915. Many of catkins now falling. All catkins which were sprayed are now dead. Leaves are unhurt and fruiting out. Had a rain on tree 3 hours after spraying it.
