| Comments: | Floods and debris flows from the Wasatch Plateau devastated downstream communities in Sanpete County at around the turn of the century. Many people suspected that the floods were related to overgrazing by sheep. The Great Basin Experiment Station was established in Ephraim Canyon to investigate the cause of the floods and find ways to prevent floods and soil erosion. |
