Comments: Recent Erosion above Fort Bayard within the Military Reservation. During the heavy floods of the past 2-3 yrs. this small tributary of Cameron Creek (Stephens Creek) has cut down through 5 ft. of rich agricultural soil and below.Boulder soil has shown. Deeper erosion may be found (Stephens Creek 1/4 mi. so. of N. boundary line of Reservation) Relative situation, bottom of Creek bed; Soil, rich loam. Ground cover, grass and herbage.
