Comments: Photo shows pond of water about 15x25 with sand and gravel backed up on front of pool above check dam in small wash. There is a small film of very fine soil on inner slope of dam which seals up pores and holds wate back. There is a small flow of water below dam, however. (one of a# of phot of check dams built by C.C.C. (airport) CAmp in Bloody Tanks wash opf Miami, AZ.)
