Comments: The current is now washing silt previously deposited to points farther down in the reservior, washing out the mud from around Cottonwood trees previously covered to a depth of several feet. Crotches formed by large branches occasionally retain silt masses which did not wash away. The one in the photo is 10 ft above the surface of the water which approximates the original soil surface when the tree was growing.
