| Comments: | Rio Grande Watershed Survey. Barren ridges W.of BaJoya and 5 mi. W.of Rio Grande. The only herbaceous vegetation left is cotton grass, and 3-anum with traces of side oats grama, prickly pear and mimosa. Practically all top soil has been removed by sheet erosion, leaving a pacing of rock fragments on top of a hard, stony, maroon colored conglomerate composed of volcanic rock fragments. |
