| Comments: | Riffles of litter following protracted rains in semidesert type, Plot 2. Litter is from annuals. While the litter is only partially effective in preventing erosion, litter is washing from slopes of steeper gradient and accumulating on slopes of low gradient. Such movement of litter occurs only where run-off is accelerated by depletion of cover. |
