Comments: | Looking across tableland S.of Chinle, AZ. The cap rock on this plateau is limestone in the Chinle formation. Accelerated erosion is attacking the soil mantle of this platform from the rim. The cliff in the left distance has been eroded back to that position from the rest of the area and is no doubt the source of the soil mantle that covers the area. |
