| Comments: | Southern semidesert grass range (Black grama) ungrazed for 12 yrs but heavily overgrazed before 1925. Black grama, hoe grass, snakeweed, and species of Stipa are prominent. In adjoining grazed area, snakeweed, filaree and sage are common, with perennial grasses very scarce. Taken inside the Smelter Smoke Study Plot in the Verde Valley. |
