Grasses are Bouteloua gracilis and B. curtipendula, which made good growth during past summer. Mendora scabra at right of Cercocarpus montan in foreground. Area had little or no grazing use since 1934. Soil is granitic, slope 40%. Photo taken from PP #1. |
