Comments: The solar radiation shield in left of frame (41301 Gill Multi-Plate Radiation Shield) was in use at Fort Valley Exp. For. weather station from 1993 to 6/2/2008. It was replaced with the MMTS shield (right side of frame, National Weather Service equipment)and this resulted in lower daily high temperatures (about 2 degrees F) bringing readings to less than 1 degree F difference from reference NWS equipment.
