Unfortunately, such stands are not typical of any extensive areas in private ownership and are seldom found within the present boundaries of the Ouachita National Forest." Plate #9 in W.G. Wahlenberg, "Report on a trip for the tentative location of an experimental forest within the Ouachita National Forest, Arkansas." Unpublished USFS report dated April 25, 1931, on file with SRS.
