Rock Creek Lake Group Campground is a walk in site, located overlooking Rock Creek Lake. The maximum size group allowed is 25 people.

Busiest Season: July-August
Restrictions:  Dogs on leash only. Maximum stay 14 days. Active bear area. All food must be secured overnight and when not attended, bear boxes are provided and must be used  (typical bear box size 48" x 30" x 36").  Always keep a clean camp and do not feed wildlife.
Closest Towns: Crowley Lake, ten miles or Bishop 36 miles.

General Information

Directions:

From Mammoth Lakes go south on US 395 for approximately 13 miles. Take the Tom's Place exit and follow Forest Service Highway 12 (Rock Creek Road) for about ten miles.  From Bishop go north on US 395 for about 30 miles. Take the Tom's Place exit and follow Forest Service Highway 12 (Rock Creek Road) for about nine miles to the campground on the left.
