Research Interests

• Forest and fire ecology
• Fire effects and fire history: western United States
• Effects of prescribed burning
• The ecological effects of differing frequencies, intensities, seasons, and other characters of fire regimes will be critical input to future fire management plans.
• Philosophy of management, and incorporating natural disturbance factors such as fire into management plans, have been a particular focus of this work
