Estimating Seed Needs and Collection Needs

The amount of seed needed must be determined based on transfer guides and an estimate of the acres to be planted or the number of seedlings needed. The amount of seed to be collected is the difference in the amount of seed needed and the amount of suitable seed that is available from your forest or from other forests or controlled sources.
