McPhee Boating Site
The McPhee Recreation Complex is on the south shore of McPhee Reservoir. McPhee Boat Ramp is open mid-April through October. There is mandatory mussel inspections on site.
The McPhee Recreation Complex includes full service marina and the McPhee Campground. Two non-developed fishing-access sites are further east on Highway 184 at the Big Bend and Dolores Access sites. There are also two day-use fishing areas on the north shore with composting toilets: Sage Hen northwest of the McPhee Recreation Area, and Dry Canyon, which is accessed from the Glade area on FS Road 510.
McPhee is the second largest lake in Colorado! This lake has a little bit of everything to do on it; from fishing for Walleye, small and large mouth bass, trout, crappie, northern pike, perch, kokanee salmon, to cruising the beautiful branches of the lake, to all of the water sports in the larger parts of the lake! This lake has it all!

Tentative operational hours (dependent on late winter weather conditions) for the boat ramp:
- April 15th-September 24th: 6:00 am – 8:00 pm, 7 days/ week
- September 25th-October 31st, 8:00 am – 6:00 pm, 7 days/week
- May 2nd-September 22nd, 6:00 am – 8:00 pm, Friday - Monday
All trailered boats and intake motors must be inspected.

Directions
From Dolores, CO, take Colorado Highway 145 south, turn west on Highway 184, and travel about 7 miles. Look for the McPhee Recreation Area sign on the north side of the highway and turn onto County Road 25, then take the first right, which will lead into the recreation area. The McPhee Recreation Complex is on the south shore of McPhee Reservoir.
