Chris Park / Haviland Lake Trail System

Chris Park / Haviland Lake Trail System includes a series of interconnected trails that meander through the Haviland and Chris Park area. The trails are good for hiking and horseback riding in the summer and XC skiing and snowshoeing in the winters. Included in the trail system are:

  • Aspen Loop #720: 1.25 mile
  • Hermosa View Trail #721: 0.9 miles
  • Golf Wall Trail #732: 0.25 miles off of U.S. 550
  • Lech Trail #722 (Cave Connector): 0.5 mile
  • Chris Park Trail #723: 0.75 miles
  • Waterdog Trot Trail #725: 0.6 miles
  • Cowboy Cutoff Trail #724: 0.4 miles
  • Haviland View Trail #731: 1.1 miles
  • Lupine Trace Trail #729: 0.5 mile
  • Wagon Trail #532: 1.1 miles
  • Miners Trace Trail #730: 1.75 miles

Directions

From Durango, CO: Travel 19 miles north of Durango on Highway 550. Turn right (east) on Haviland Lake Road, FR 671.
