Prohibited in Big Lake Recreation Area - Storing or Possessing Food or Refuse

Order 03-01-20-01 prohibits possessing or storing any food, or refuse, in the Big Lake Recreation Area, except in the manner specified in the Order 03-01-20-01. This includes no food or refuse to be fed to birds, squirrels, or other wildlife. The purpose of this Order is to provide for public safety by minimizing adverse interactions between bears and humans. This Order shall remain in effect until January 31, 2025, or until rescinded, whichever comes first.
