Garnet Fire Closure Update 05-15-52-25-15
The Garnet Fire started August 23, 2025 and continues to require significant firefighting and forest resources to address its containment. Exhibits A and B identify the closure areas impacted by the Garnet Fire.

Forest Order No. 05-15-00-25-15, effective September 20, 2025 through November 19, 2025 details current recreations sites, roads, and trails currently closed to the public due to ongoing maintenance and repairs.

Garnet Fire Closure Update 05-15-52-25-13
The Sierra National Forest has issued Forest Order, No. 05-15-52-25-13. Thanks to the ongoing suppression efforts in cooperation with local cooperators, aviation support, and SNF Fire Crews, the Garnet Fire is now 91% contained allowing for a reduction of the Garnet Fire closure area.

Parking Limits
14-day parking limitations on Ranger Districts. Parking or leaving a motor vehicle or trailer on a Ranger District for more than 14 days within any 30-day period is prohibited.

Camping Limits
Camping on a Ranger District for more than 14 days within any 30-day period is prohibited within the Sierra National Forest.
