FR323 Ball Club Road Caution
Visitors to Ball Club Lake should take caution.

Prescribed Fire Notice
The Superior National Forest's Gunflint and Tofte Ranger Districts will begin fall pile burning starting on September 11, 2025, through the end of December 2025 as conditions warrant. No roads will be closed from pile burning. Smoke may be visible during ignitions and for days after ignitions.

Forest Closure Order 09-09-25-07: Closure Notice for Public Safety – Laurentian District
The Superior National Forest (NF) has issued Forest Closure Order 09-09-25-07 that continues restrictions to all traffic (motorized and nonmotorized) on Kane Lake Spur J (Forest Road 107J), and Hush Lake Road (Forest Road 790) on the Laurentian Ranger District in Lake and St. Louis Counties.

Watch for Wildfire Hazards While Recreating
Wildfires can pose risks to firefighters and the public even after they are contained. It is important to use extreme caution and good judgment when in fire-impacted areas due to the ongoing dangers that can be difficult to identify. After the flames, the risk remains.

Devil's Track Tributary Bridge Closure
A trail bridge on the Superior Hiking Trail (SHT) located approximately .4 mile west of the Lindskog Trailhead (Co. Rd 58) has been closed.

Forest Order 09-09-24-01: Conditions of Use Restrictions for the Superior
Limits camping at developed sites to 14 days, prohibits camping at Jeanette Lake Island, Birch Lake "TP Island", and Grassy Lake Island; also prohibits using roads for commercial hauling with a permit or written authorization and operating an over-snow vehicle on designated ski trails.

Forest Order 09-09-24-02: BWCAW Bear Aware Food Storage Order
Prohibitions related to food, food containers, etc. in the Boundary Waters Canoe Wilderness Area from March 1 - November 30 of each year.
