Free children’s fishing derby

Quincy, CA - Enjoy your national forest – go fishing! Kids & teens age fifteen and younger are invited to the free annual Plumas National Forest (PNF) fishing derby on Saturday, September 6 at Round Valley Reservoir, Greenville, CA.
The event runs from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm and includes fishing, contests, prizes, educational & cultural activities, crafts, snacks, historical stories and more fun. Prizes will be handed out to contest winners at the end of the derby. The event is supported by the PNF, local businesses and partners.
Stay and fish for free after the derby as September 6th is a CA Department of Fish & Wildlife free fishing day; no license required. Overnight camping is available at the Greenville Campground.
Round Valley Reservoir is located off highway 89 in Greenville; travel three miles west on Hideaway Road, following signs to the Reservoir.
