  4. To view the GIS data, download the freeware ArcGIS Explorer

  2. Click on the KMZ file link.
  3. Save the KMZ file to the desired location on your hard drive.
  4. Open the KMZ file. Select Open from the same File Download window you selected Save from.

Management Areas Management Areas are places where there is specific management direction in the Forest Plan that differs from the general forest. “Designated Areas” were established by statute, such as wilderness; or by a federal administrative process, such as a national scenic byway. Other management areas were established with the Forest Plan decision to address site-specific management needs.
