Brookings, OR – The Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest has awarded a construction contract to complete rehabilitation work on the Chetco River Bridge at mile post 1.0 of Forest Service Road 1376.  The project is located on the Gold Beach Ranger District, approximately 9 miles northeast of Brookings, Oregon.  Expected delays will be variable, with closures lasting 30 minutes to 8 hours at a time. The work is scheduled to occur November 14 – December 21, 2018. In particular, the RRSNF would like the public to know that the work scheduled for November 17th and 18th is highly weather dependent, so may be rescheduled as needed. The public, including residents, would be notified of this change.

Work will be performed by Delta Construction Co. out of Eugene, Oregon, and includes the replacement of existing bridge rails, repairs to structural concrete elements, placement of a concrete deck overlay, and the construction of new asphalt approaches at each end of the structure.

Expect traffic delays between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.:
