President John F Kennedy Grey Towers Visit in 1963

In 1963, Gifford and Cornelia Pinchot’s son, Dr. Gifford Bryce Pinchot, donated Grey Towers and 102 acres to the Forest Service to carry forward his fathers’ conservation principles. President John F Kennedy (front left) touring the Sitting Room with Gifford Byce Pinchot (front right) during the dedication in 1963 of Grey Towers.
