2025 Holiday Tour Season Information:

Grey Towers National Historic Site offers ticketed self-guided holiday tours of the first-floor museum from noon until 3:00pm starting on November 28, 2025. Our expanded holiday tour season will begin Fridays through Sundays through December 28, 2025. 

Ticketed self-guided tours will NOT be offered December 5, 6, & 7, 2025, due to an event taking place inside the museum. 

Tickets can be purchased in person on the day of the tour at our visitor center located in the historic Letterbox starting at 11:30am. Our gift shop, operated by our partner Grey Towers Heritage Association, located in the Letterbox and will be open from noon until 3:00pm on tour days. Vehicle gates are open daily, weather permitting, from 9:00am to 3:30pm. Free visitor films are offered in the Baitbox from 10:00am to 3:00pm. Pedestrian gates are open from sun-up to sundown for extended access to our amazing trails.

For our 2025 season, Self-guided open house tours of the mansion are considered an expanded amenity fee. As an expanded amenity area, cardholders of any of the America the Beautiful National Parks & Federal Recreational Lands Passes are offered a 50% discount for the cardholder only.

2025 Group Tours:

We would love to have your group of 10 or more visit Grey Towers NHS. We are great place for family to reunite and organizations to get together to learn about the history of the Pinchot family, US Forest Service and the museum at Grey Towers. Please make sure to reach out so we can facilitate your group and help plan an amazing visit.

Museum Must Know's Before You Go

The walkway from the parking lot to the mansion is approximately 350 yards uphill and mimics the original carriageway. Please enjoy the views, watch your step, and take your time as you walk towards the mansion.

All backpacks, bags (including baby and camera bags) larger then 11x17, strollers, tripods, food and liquids (including water bottles) are prohibited inside the museum. There are no storage lockers located at Grey Towers NHS and prohibited items cannot be left unattended outside of the museum. To ensure a pleasant visit please plan accordingly.
