Partnerships

Formal partnerships are a significant way important conservation work gets accomplished on Mark Twain National Forest. Some partnership efforts are long lasting. Others are done over short periods of time for specific projects. All of our partnerships are valuable regardless of the size of the effort or contribution. We are interested in expanding our partnership efforts.

Partnerships are consummated through agreements, such as, Memorandum of Understanding or Agreements, Challenge Cost Share Agreements, Participating Agreements, and Cooperating Agreements. Most agreements combine funds or in-kind services from the partners.

Professional Agreements staff from the Forest Service work with partner organizations to develop signed agreements among the parties which lay out the terms and conditions of the arrangement.

If you are interested in partnering with Mark Twain National Forest contact the District Office that administers the area you interested in working on.or you have an idea or proposal for partnering with us!
