Smokey Bear has been a member of our families since 1944. The purpose of the Smokey Program is to create and maintain public awareness, through the image of Smokey Bear, about the need to prevent unplanned, human-caused wildland fires.

Woodsy Owl has been America's environmental champion since 1970, and is most recognized for his wise request, "Give a hoot. Don't pollute." Caring, friendly, and wise, Woodsy Owl is a whimsical fellow and he's got his heart set on motivating kids to form healthy, lasting relationships with nature.

NatureWatch's mission is to provide children and adults the opportunity to safely view and participate in activities and programs that raise their levels of awareness and understanding of wildlife, fish, plants and their connections to the ecosystem, landscapes and people. (more)
Natural Inquirer
The Natural Inquirer is a middle school science education journal! Scientists report their research in journals, which enable scientists to share information with one another. This journal, the Natural Inquirer, was created so that scientists can share their research with middle school students. Each article tells you about scientific research conducted by scientists in the USDA Forest Service. (more)
