SOPA Reports
The Schedule of Proposed Actions (SOPA) contains a list of proposed
actions for Francis Marion and Sumter National Forests that will soon begin or are currently undergoing environmental
analysis and documentation. It provides information so that you can become
aware of and indicate your interest in specific proposals. We encourage your
early and ongoing involvement in any proposals of interest to you.
One tract of National Forest System land (approximately 54.29 acres) would be exchanged for two separate private tracts (approximately 59.84 and 27.52 acres).
Fencing would be installed on a 5-acre portion of Long Creek Dove Field and a 5-acre portion of Ross Mountain Dove Field to address the damaging effects of feral hogs.
