 Interpretation Guide

Serviceberry is modeled at the genus level in that distinction is not made among potentially several species within the genus Amelanchier. Consequently it is mapped as a fairly common (5.4% of area) but widely disjunct taxon with low model reliability and modeled to show large expansion of habitat to the south even though abundance per area is greatly reduced. The SHIFT model, however, shows that only a very small portion of the projected suitable habitat could get colonized naturally within 100 years. Its capacity to cope is rated at poor.
