Objection Period for Undesirable Plant Management Project Begins August 8, 2024

The Nebraska National Forests and Grasslands (Nebraska) has prepared a final environmental impact statement (FEIS) and draft record of decision (DROD) for the Undesirable Plant Management Project. This project proposes a comprehensive, forest-wide plan to manage noxious weeds, invasive plant species, non-native plants, and undesirable native plant species. It updates and enhances the Nebraska's existing guidance.

Objections will only be accepted from those who have previously submitted written comments regarding the proposed project during scoping or other designated opportunities for public comment. The objection period begins August 8th and continues for 45 days, ending on September 23rd, 2024. Those who have previously provided comments may submit objections by visiting the project website (https://www.fs.usda.gov/project/?project=62500) and selecting the tab “Comment/Object on Project” of the right side of the page.
