Cabresto Dam Reconstruction
In Oct 2010, the Carson Forest Supervisor signed a decision to reconstruct Cabresto Dam on the Questa RD to meet safety & operational standards of State of NM. The decision includes breaching existing dam & constructing new dam about 160 feet downstream of existing dam. Cabresto Lake Rd & Campground & access to Latir Wilderness from Cabresto Lake will be closed during construction, expected to begin summer of 2011 & end sometime in 2012.
