Echo Campground

A roadside campground adjacent to Highway 84 with spectacular geologic views in the Chama Valley.

Reserve the Group Shelter at Recreation.gov.

General Information

The campground contains eight campsites and a group shelter for up to 40 people, which is reservable online.

  • Campsites cannot accommodate large RVs (maximum length is 30 feet). 
  • Campsites #2, #4, and #8 have pull through driveways.

A paved trail from campground accesses the short and easy Echo Amphitheater Trail.

Overnight Use:
Single Site: $20 per night
Double Site: $35 per night
Additional Vehicle Fee: $5 per vehicle per night

$50 for Group Shelter (up to 40 people), includes three campsites (no hookups at group shelter).

Via Highway 84, Echo Campground is approximately 17 miles northwest of Abiquiu and 14 miles south of Cebolla.

The water system is currently offline and under repair. It is expected to be back online by late July 2026.
