Right aside the Rio Fernando de Taos, the El Nogal Trailhead is a popular destination for three trails just outside Taos, N.M.

Most popular during spring, summer and fall. The trailhead may be closed during the winter if ice develops in the parking lot.

- From Taos, go east on Highway 64
- The trailhead parking lot is on the right-hand side a half-mile east of Paseo del Canon E./N.M. State Road 585.
