Sulphur Canyon Picnic Site
Sulphur Canyon Picnic Site has picnic areas dispersed thoroughout the site. They are located along the paved lot and down into the trees. There is no water for drinking, however, there are picnic tables, grills, and bear resistant receptacles.
Access to Sulphur Canyon Trail 281 is located at the far end of the picnic area. It terminates at Faulty Trail 195.

Day Use:
$5 per vehicle per day
Requires a fee or an amenity pass.
- If you do not have a pass, such as the New Mexico Enchantment Pass, use the onsite Pay Station.
- Envelopes for payment are in the box next to the fee tube (cash and check only).
- The cost is $5.00 per vehicle for 1 day unless you purchase a day-use pass.
- The fee for 15+ passenger, vans and buses is $10 per vehicle.

Directions
From Albuquerque, drive east on I-40 to Exit 175 toward Cedar Crest/N-14. Follow N-14 aka the Turquoise Trail for approximately 6.5 miles, to State Highway 536 aka the Sandia Crest Scenic Byway. Turn left onto 536 and follow it for about two miles. Turn left at the Cienega/Sulphur Picnic Site sign, then take an immediate right. You will see the Pay Station to your left.
