Recreation Region: Huachuca Mountains

Perimeter #138

The Perimeter Trail #138 is located in the Huachuca Mountains in the Sierra Vista Ranger District. This 3.75-mile, one-way trail affords opportunities in the area for hikers, runners, mountain bikers, and equestrians and can be used to create longer loops by linking with other trails and Forest roads. This moderately difficult, rocky trail links Miller Canyon and Carr Canyon through an oak, juniper, and grassland landscape and makes for an ideal hike all year long. Be prepared for high temperatures during the summer months and bring plenty of water. Miller Canyon Perimeter Trailhead (developed) or the Carr Canyon Perimeter Trailhead (undeveloped)  can be used to access this trail.
