Recreation Region: Huachuca Mountains

Perimeter #138B

The Perimeter Trail #138B is located in the Huachuca Mountains in the Sierra Vista Ranger District. This 2.2-mile, one-way trail affords opportunities in the area for hikers, runners, mountain bikers, and equestrians of all ability levels. It is a gently rolling trail and can be used to create longer loops by linking with other trails and Forest roads. This trail links Miller Canyon and Hunter Canyon through an oak, juniper, and grassland landscape and makes for an ideal hike all year long. Be prepared for high temperatures during the summer months and bring plenty of water. You can start either at the Miller Canyon Perimeter Trailhead (developed) which connects to the trail at .3 miles or Hunter Canyon Trailhead (undeveloped).
