Twilight Group Campground
At an elevation of 7,400 feet, in a shady conifer forest, this campground offers groups a secluded camping escape from the summer desert heat. The scenic mountain setting is a great base for hiking, wildlife viewing, and picnicking along the Swift Trail. The Upper and Lower Twilight Group Sites are adjacent to each other, with Upper closer to the vault toilets.

Note: Black bear area. Store and dispose of all food in bear-proof containers and trash bins, or keep it locked in your vehicle with windows all the way up.

Quiet hours are 10:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.
Vehicles (including trailers) longer than 22 feet are not recommended because of the difficulty of negotiating the switchbacks on AZ 366.
Overnight Use:
Group Site: $25 per night, plus $5 per vehicle
Buy a pass online. Camping discounts apply only to the fee for the campsite physically occupied by the pass holder, not any additional campsite(s) occupied by the pass holder's party.
The Upper and Lower Twilight Group Sites are available through recreation.gov only.
Pets must be on leash at developed recreation sites.

Directions
From Safford drive south 8 miles on US 191 to AZ 366. Turn right (southwest) onto AZ 366 and drive approximately 14 miles to the Twilight Campground turnoff just beyond the Turkey Flat summer home area.
Travel Considerations
The last mile to the campgrounds are on a dirt road suitable for a passenger vehicles. The pavement ends when you leave the Swift Trail.
