Perkinsville Bridge Area Special Closure Order
The purpose of Order #03-09-05-23-01 is to protect public health and safety due to flash flood risk and sanitation issues and to protect natural resources from degradation. This Order shall be in effect from October 4, 2023, at 12:00 am, through October 3, 2025, at 8:00 am, unless rescinded.

PROHIBITIONS
Pursuant to 16 U.S.C. § 551 and 36 C.F.R. § 261.50 (a) and (b), the following are prohibited on the National Forest System (NFS) lands and roads in the Chino Valley Ranger District, Prescott National Forest, described below and shown on the attached map incorporated into this Order as Exhibit A (the “Described Area and Roads”): 1. Use any motor vehicle on the road. 36 C.F.R. § 261.54(a) 2. Camping. 36 C.F.R. § 261.58(e)
EXEMPTIONS
Pursuant to 36 C.F.R. § 261.50(e), the following persons are exempt from this Order: 1. Residents, owners, permittees and lessees of private property or allotments within the Described Area are allowed ingress and egress onto National Forest System (NFS) Roads 9004M and 9004W from County Road 70 only to and from their properties. 2. Persons with Forest Service Permit No. FS-7700-48 (Permit for Use of Roads, Trails, or Areas Restricted by Regulation or Order), specifically exempting them from this Order or a written determination by a Forest Service authorized officer that a permit is not required under 36 C.F.R. § 251.50(e)(1) or (2). 3. Any Federal, State, or Local Officer, or member of an organized rescue or firefighting resource in the performance of an official duty.
DESCRIBED AREA AND ROADS
All National Forest System lands, roads, and trails within the boundary starting from the intersection of where the Topeka & Santa Fe Railroad tracks intersect with private land at the boundary between Section lines 36 and 31 in Township 18N, Range 2E, then following southwest along the Topeka & Santa Fe Railroad tracks for approximately one mile to the boundary of Section lines 35 and 36, then following south for approximately 0.5 miles to the corner of Section 36 and Section 1, then following east for approximately one mile along Section lines 1 and 36 to the boundary with private land, then following north for approximately 0.75 miles, back to the point of beginning where the Topeka & Santa Fe Railroad tracks intersect with private property at the boundary between Section lines 36 and 31, as shown in Exhibit A. NFS Roads 9004M, starting at its junction with County Road 70, then following west until its terminus, and NFSR 9004W, starting at its junction with County Road 70, then following northeast until it intersects with the private land boundary at the boundary between Section lines 31 and 36. NOTE: The entire length of County Road 70 within the Described Area remains open for motor vehicle travel, to include parking within 100 feet of the centerline. PURPOSE The purpose of this Order is to protect public health and safety due to flash flood risk and sanitation issues and to protect natural resources from degradation.
IMPLEMENTATION
1. This Order shall be in effect from October 4, 2023, at 12:00 am, through October 3, 2025, at 8:00 am, unless rescinded.

3. Unless otherwise expressly defined in this Order, the terms used in this Order are defined by the regulations of the Secretary of Agriculture, 36 C.F.R. Chapter II, Parts 200-299. If there are terms in this Order that are not expressly defined in the Order or 36 C.F.R. Chapter II, Parts 200-299, their meaning shall be determined by their plain language definitions.
4. A violation of the above prohibitions is punishable as a Class B misdemeanor by a fine of not more than $5,000 for individuals and $10,000 for organizations, or by imprisonment for not more than six months, or both. 16 U.S.C. § 551; 18 U.S.C. §§ 3559, 3571, and 3581.
