Permits
Fuelwood Permits

The Prescott National Forest provides firewood for personal use. A permit is required by anyone harvesting any firewood on the National Forest, except for the rather small amounts used in a campfire and gathered at the campfire site.
Transplant Permits

Transplant Permits allow for removal of small trees off the forest. The cost is $3 per tree and the minimum cost is $20 so you would need to buy at least seven. The only restrictions are that these are for softwoods (pines, junipers), can't be collected by trailheads, and you must fully fill in any holes. Call the Bradshaw/Chino Valley Ranger Station at 928-443-8000 to learn more.
Special Use Permits

Special use permits are required for recreation events, large group gatherings (outside of reserved group sites), outfitter/guide operations, communication towers, roads and commercial activities.
