Cottonwood Lake Group Picnic Site
Cottonwood Group Picnic Site is located next to Cottonwood Lake in the Salt River Mountains at an elevation of 7,000 feet, approximately 13 miles southeast of Afton, Wyoming. North Fork Creek runs near this site where pines and aspens offer limited shade and summer wildflowers are abundant. Two large picnic tables and an accessible fire ring will accomodate your group up to 50 people.
This picnic site is available for day use only. Overnight camping is allowed at the adjacent campground; a group campsite is also available by reservation at site 13. Vault toilets, potable water, and bear-resistant garbage cans are provided, but picnickers must bring their own garbage bags. Parking is provided for up to 8 vehicles, although parking area is for day-users at the lake as well.

Directions
From the Town of Afton, Wyoming, head south on United States Highway 89 for approximately 8.3 miles, then make left turn on Cottonwood Creek Road/County Road 153. Shortly after the Cottonwood Creek Road enters the Bridger-Teton National Forest and turns into Forest Service Road 10208 (FS-10208). Follow FS-10308 for about 6 miles to Cottonwood Lake. Cottonwood Lake Group Picnic Area is located on the left side of the road across from the Boating Site.
