The planning area is approximately 50,000 acres. Vegetation treatments may include mechanical, hand, and prescribed burning. Watershed improvements may include existing road improvement and road decommissioning. Recreational trail work may also occur The formal comment period on the draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) begins on October 28, 2011 with the publication of the Notice of Availability (NOA) in the Federal Register. To establish standing to appeal the Record of Decision for the project, comments must be received during the formal comment period. The FEIS aand ROD were published on April 6, 2012.
