Safety and Outdoor Ethics

Welcome to the Payette National Forest.  Whether you are just out for a day hike or any of the other many adventures to be had on the Forest, there are many ways to ensure the experience is fun and safe for all.  As a visitor to the Payette, we do ask that you follow certain rules designed to promote a pleasant and rewarding experience for everyone while protecting the Forest and the natural environment.  With approximately 2.3 million acres to explore the possibilities are endless.  Whether you are a first time visitor to the Payette or are a regular visitor, we want you to enjoy your trip while remaining safe.
