South Fork Restoration and Access Management Plan

This project will address both restoration and public and private access needs to determine the minimum road system, improve watershed condition, provide ATV and motorcycle trail opportunities, and provide dispersed camping and parking opportunities. The District received objections to the December 2019 Decision Notice. After attempting to resolve, the Objection Reviewing Officer directed the District to reconsider 2 of the 16 total project actions, within the scope of the December 2019 Environmental Assessment (EA) and with renewed input from the Big Creek-Yellow Pine Collaborative. As a result, a Draft Decision Notice (DN) No. 2 will be published for public review and comment/objection. Subsequent to that second administrative review period, and completion of consultation under the Endangered Species Act, the District anticipates issuing 2 Final DNs, DN No. 1 for 14/16 actions and DN No. 2 for 2/16 actions, all of which were analyzed in the December 2019 EA.
