Cold Springs Campground

This popular campground is located approximately 3/4 mile from Lost Valley Reservoir at an elevation of 4,850'. The campground is set in an open meadow lined with Ponderosa Pine and Douglas Fir. The majority of sites have full sun exposure. Each site comes equipped with a picnic table and fire ring. There is typically a volunteer camp host and potable water available on-site.  

Two group campsites are available at the Cold Springs Campground. Group Site A accommodates up to 75 people. Group Site B accommodates up to 50 people. Both sites have on-site parking, fire rings, tables, benches, grills, and space for tent camping. 

The campground has no hookups or trash receptacles. Please pack out your trash.

At Cold Springs Campground, 19 campsites are available on a first-come, first-serve basis, and 11 sites can be reserved up to six months in advance. The two group campsites can be reserved up to 12 months in advance. Reservations can be made at www.Recreation.gov

Overnight Use:
Single Site: $10 per night
Double Site: $15 per night

Dogs are welcome in all campgrounds, picnic areas, and on trails. We recommend you keep your dog on a leash. Never leave them unattended. Dogs allowed to roam freely can frighten or injure wildlife, disturb other forest visitors, and create impacts to natural resources.

Directions

From New Meadows, head south on Highway 95 for 8 miles. Turn west on Forest Road #089 at the Pine Ridge Store junction. Follow this improved gravel road for approximately three miles to the campground. Lost Valley Reservoir is a short distance beyond the campground.

Potable water is typically available in the summer. It's always a good idea to travel with extra water for drinking and cooking.
