Ruby Meadows Trailhead

Ruby Meadows Trailhead is ideal for people who want to explore the rugged landscape on foot, horseback, ATV, motorcycle, or mountain bike! Many dispersed campsites are in the area.  Ruby Creek is the headwaters of the Secech River and other creeks such as Summit Creek are near by.  The trailhead provides access Willow Basket Creek Trail #141, and is an access route to Loon Lake; the primary route to Loon Lake is Via the Loon Lake Trail #081 that begins at the Loon Lake Trailhead near Chinook Campground.

Rudy 1-Trail #173 and Ruby 2-Trail #174 are perfect day hiking trails, and OHV riding.  The Willow Basket Trail #148 is a motorized double loop off of the Willow Basket Creek Trail #141.  It is just over 2.5 miles long, and is open to ATV Trail Riding.

Directions

From McCall, travel north for 28 miles on Warren Wagon Road. The road is paved the entire way. Turn right on Forest Service Road #364 into the Ruby Meadows trailhead and camping area. There is a vault toilet.
