Forest Service reaches decision on the Deep Creek and Whitewater Wild and Scenic Rivers Project

Previous commenters on project may submit objections during a 45-day administrative review period

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif., Nov. 8, 2024 – The USDA Forest Service, San Bernardino National Forest and the Bureau of Land Management, has released the final Environmental Assessment and Draft Decision Notice for the Deep Creek and Whitewater Comprehensive River Management Plans (CRMP).

The CRMPs identify management actions that will benefit the watershed condition and help protect the extraordinary remarkable values within each corridor.

Interested community members and stakeholders, who have previously commented on the project and have standing to object, may submit objections online during the 45-day administrative review period (objection period) scheduled to begin Nov. 8 with the publication of a legal notice in the newspaper of record, the “San Bernardino Sun.”
