Barton Flats Family Campground
At 36 miles northeast of San Bernardino, this hosted campground has 51 reservable sites; 7 are accessible).

Rio Monte Trail 1E28 starts here and leads uphill to Jenks Lake and Santa Ana River.

Individual sites at this campground operate on a 6-month rolling basis:
- Availability is released from Fri, April 3rd 2026 through Mon, July 13th 2026. Select dates for availability.
- On January 14, 2026 at 07:00 AM PST, availability will be released through July 14, 2026.
General Information
Reservations can be placed as late as 24 hours in advance based upon availability. For example, reservations could be made on a Thursday before 2pm, for a Friday 2pm check in, if there is availability.

This campground requires 2-day minimum stay on weekends and 3-day minimum stay on holiday weekends.
- Single site is allowed 1 vehicle. Extra vehicles are $8/night.
- A double site is allowed 2 vehicles. Extra vehicles $8/night,
- Fees will be collected by the host.
All pets must be leashed.
- Single Site: $36 holiday, $38 - 8 person max
- Double Site: $71 holiday, $73 - 16 person max
- Camping fee includes entry for 1 vehicle.
- Extra vehicle fee: $8/night
- RV dump: $10
- Checks under $50 not accepted.

Directions
From I-10 East to Redlands:
- Take University Street exit, EXIT 80.
- Turn left (northbound) on University Street.
- Turn right onto E. Lugonia Avenue/SR-38.
- Continue on State Highway 38. From Mill Creek Work Center, about 18.8 to campground entrance.
- Turn left into campground.
From the Big Bear Discovery Center, take SR-38 towards Redlands for 25.8 miles. Turn right into campground.
