Juniper Springs Group Campground
In the San Bernardino Mountains 45 miles from San Bernardino, Calif., this campground sits in a pinon-juniper woodland near a meadow.
- Water is NOT available at this campground.
- Amenities include one double pedestal grill, four picnic tables, one group fire ring, and vault toilets.
- Nearest showers at Serrano Campground, 15 miles away. Markets and restaurants in the Big Bear City and the City of Big Bear Lake (11 miles away).
Hiking and biking opportunities are nearby. OHV (green sticker/red sticker) opportunities can be found at Cactus Flats staging area.
- Green sticker vehicles or UTVs are not allowed within the campground.
- Green sticker vehicles are restricted to Green Sticker routes.
Popular activities include boating, fishing and swimming at Big Bear Lake. Access to Juniper Springs Campground is via a graded dirt road.
- Low-clearance vehicles not recommended.
- Winter road conditions may prohibit accessibility by vehicle, due to snow.

Reservations can be placed as late as 24 hours in advance based upon availability. For example, reservations could be made on a Thursday before 2pm, for a Friday 2pm check in, if there is availability.

For I-10 East to Redlands
- Take University Street exit, EXIT 80.
- Turn left (northbound) on University Street.
- Turn right onto E. Lugonia Avenue/SR-38.
- Continue on Highway 38 until reach Forest Service Road 2N01.
- Make a right on FS Road 2N01 and proceed 2.2 miles. T
- Turn right just before junction of 2N04 and 2N01
- About 0.6 mile to park at the camp.
