Ten Mile Campground

5800-foot elevation. 13 campsites on Tenmile Creek. Hiking and mountain biking in two nearby sequoia groves. This campground is within the Giant Sequoia National Monument. Trails in the monument, open to hikers, horses, and bikes (outside the wilderness areas), wind through giant sequoia groves, up mountains, and alongside wild rivers. Compacted dirt surfaces, no drinking water Maximum RV length 22 feet.

General Information

Campfire permits are required for campfires, barbeques, and camp stoves. Permits are available at your local Ranger Station or online at Campfire Permit - Ready for Wildfire.

Please check for current fire restrictions before venturing out.

Quiet hours are 10:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.

  • This is black bear country; special food storage regulations are in effect and must be followed
  • No all-terrain or off-highway vehicle use in the campground
  • Fire restrictions may be imposed at any time due to hot, dry weather conditions, at which time campfires and charcoal fires may not be allowed. For current fire conditions or weather closures contact the Hume Lake Ranger District, (559) 338-2251

Overnight Use:
Single Site: $34 per night
Double Site: $68 per night

Campsite fees range from $34/night for single unit, $68/night for double unit, $8/night for extra vehicle

Parking

There is an extra vehicle fee of $8.00/night on the 2nd vehicle in each single campsite and on the 3rd & 4th vehicle in any double campsite, provided these vehicles are not joined to the 1st vehicle by a hitch and towed onto the site. In the case of motorcycles, the 1st and 2nd are considered to be one vehicle and the 3rd and 4th are also considered to be one vehicle. So the fee would be a single $8.00/night of stay for the 3rd/4th motorcycle.
