Outdoor Science and Learning

Outdoor learning can mean any number of things. Simplified, it can be put in terms of experimenting, connecting, discovering and learning about and relating to nature by engaging in adventurous activities in an all natural environment. It is considered by many to be an extension of classroom learning.

The Sierra National Forest offers a few interpretive trails, along with the Huntington Lake Recreation Area and Eastwood Visitor Information Site and several Visitor Program Areas to help visitors engage in outdoor learning and science.
